Bards of the Blogosphere Special - A Bard a Day - No. 6 Arpita Nayak

Surely you must have heard of the Bards of the Blogosphere by now? If not, I don't understand it. We're all over the place.  You'll find us everywhere.  Facebook, Pinterest, you name it.  We (because I'm a member too), are a group of Indian-based bloggers, randomly brought together by Blogadda, the Indian blogging hub. We are co-writing a novella.  It's more than two thirds underway and is an exciting story of drama, intrigue, romance suspense and.....well, you'll just have to read it to find out.  The Bards are taking part inthe Game of Blogs, an activity promoted by Blogadda to #CelebrateBlogging.  Let's meet the Bards, one by one. Meet Anya Richards, Historical Fiction Author

How do you come up with the ideas for new stories?
Inspiration can come from almost anywhere. I’m terribly curious and love delving into subjects I don’t know much or anything about, and often a small nugget of information will jump out at me, leading to a ‘what if?’ moment. I’ve also had characters jump, almost fully formed, into my head (which can be a little freaky!). It’s a matter, I think, of staying open to the muse and letting the ideas flow.
Does writer's block ever happen to you? Unfortunately, yes. I sometimes find ‘real’ life interferes with my ability to get the words out.
